Elena and Aden's Parsons Gardens wedding was nothing short of dreamy. Before I had met them, I had never heard of Parsons Gardens before - even as a Seattle local! They chose this darling city park space for a small wedding with 65 guests, and moved their party to Canlis for their wedding reception.
I loved this space and its simplicity, as well as the variety in wedding photo locations in the surrounding area. Just across the street, we found the historic Wilcox Walls. They made for some very unique, almost European-looking wedding portraits.

A Little About Parsons Gardens
A Parsons Gardens Wedding offers an intimate, nature-filled setting for couples seeking a peaceful ceremony in Seattle. Nestled on Queen Anne's southern slope, this hidden gem features lush greenery and colorful flowers for a romantic vibe, as well as the Wilcox Wall. Open to the public since 1956, the garden charms visitors with its serene atmosphere and natural beauty.
The Perfect Garden Intimate Wedding Venue
Picture exchanging vows under tall trees with vibrant flowers creating a breathtaking backdrop. Its secluded layout provides privacy, allowing you and your guests to enjoy nature without interruptions. Manicured lawns and pathways offer space for guests to explore and admire the scenic surroundings. Ideal for smaller gatherings, Parsons Gardens also serves as a lovely spot for group photos and post-ceremony picnics. Aden and Elena, however, were able to comfortably fit all 60 of their guests.

Parsons Gardens Wedding Cost and Amenities
According to The Wedding Spot, the base rental fee is $175 for an hour-long ceremony and reception, with additional hours available at $175 per hour (with a minimum of three hours). While the garden does not have kitchen facilities, it allows outside caterers, so you can customize your menu. Seattle parks require a permit for events, and if you plan to bring special equipment like tents or stages, there’s a $75 setup fee.
Since Parsons Gardens is a small park, it may not be suitable for traditional wedding receptions. Elena and Aden choose The Penthouse at Canlis as their wedding reception location, and ran shuttles between the park and restaurant.

Event Guidelines for Your Parsons Gardens Wedding
The garden has a few rules: amplified music is allowed but must end by 7:00 PM, and alcohol is prohibited. Smoking is also not allowed on the property. With convenient public parking nearby, guests can easily access the venue while still enjoying its tranquil charm.
For couples seeking an affordable, scenic venue with a natural backdrop, Parsons Gardens combines elegance and simplicity in a unique Seattle setting!
