I still remember writing in my eighth grade yearbook bio that I wanted to be a photographer when I grew up. Even at a young age, it was something I was SO sure of.
To be able to call this colorful little brand mine all these years later is more than I could have ever asked for! Capturing memories in a way that feels like you two is so incredibly profound and meaningful to me.

Skiing (backcountry and in resort)
Skiing is truly the other half of me. Four years ago, I pursued my dreams of going full-time with my photography and videography business so that I could dedicate my personal life to creativity, backcountry skiing and storm chasing across the world. I run a ski Instagram @jakfruit and get to create with outdoor brands I really care about, like Seniq, Suunto, Insta360, Teton Bros and more. I have also been observing the "Turns All Year" challenge where you ski once a month year-round for over 4 years!
Mountain Biking
I bought my first mountain bike in April 2025 and don't know why I didn't do it sooner! And while I'm not the greatest at it just yet, I love that it scratches that off-season itch when most of the snow has melted.
Hiking and Backpacking
I love being in the mountains, and if I can do it overnight with good food, wine, and stars, I'm so there. Backpacking was my introduction to being a healthier, more active person outdoors back in 2017 and it's something I still love to this day.
Nerding out over interior design
As an ex-Tumblr girl, I've always loved the idea of feeling like I live in a photograph. One of my favorite forms of creative expression is designing my space to be cozy and beautiful. Currently I'm loving the whole wabi-sabi aesthetic with a dash of mid century modern.
Jetsetting
I mean, who among us!? I love traveling all over the planet, especially to ski and photograph weddings. I visited and photographed in five different countries in 2025 and boarded something like 22 different planes. My most recent country was Spain (10 days between Barcelona and Costa Brava) and I'll be skiing in Hokkaido, Japan for the second time this winter!

Being a cat mom to Ronan
If you hop on a video call with me, you will probably see Ronan curled up in his cat tree behind me - or dragging his Lamb Chop toy around in the background making weird noises. He's been my little furry roommate for twelve years now, and photos I've taken of him have been featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine, Purina Cat Chow, and a December issue of the Alaska Airlines in-flight magazine.
PC Gaming
I played my first PC game at age 3 (it was Mickey Mouse Shapes and Colors..) and got more seriously into it as a preteen when I started playing MMORPGs like EverQuest and World of Warcraft. I'm an on again off again gamer, and I have no problem just sitting at a computer for 6-8 hours getting totally dialed on progressing one of my characters in a fantasy world.
Being a city kitty
As much as I love the mountains, I am a city girl at my core. I have lived in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle for over a decade, and I have no plans of leaving anytime soon. I just love walkable places, being constantly surrounded by people, and every noise and ounce of chaos living in an urban area comes with!
