Edgewater House Wedding in Ollala

Lauren and Derek’s breathtaking Edgewater House Wedding in Ollala had us swooning! There are so many wonderful things about this Ollala wedding venue, and Melanie and I made it a point to capture the environment to the fullest. If you came here because you searched for Edgewater House hoping to get an idea of its atmosphere,  then you are in the right place. I often share this gallery with clients as an example of a large wedding with two photographers. The total coverage for this event was 9 hours. This covered everything from getting ready to their sparkler send off.

The bride and groom opted for a traditional first look where they would see one another for the first time as Lauren walked down aisle. I love that you can clearly see Derek’s emotions as he sees her for the first time in the photos. It was a powerful experience to witness their first look surrounded by all their beloved family and friends. Just look at that sun radiating through the trees behind Lauren! Surely there is nothing quite like that suspense as you wait for your bride to walk down the aisle. To have it take place in such a gorgeous scene must be an out of body experience.

We loved that they chose their dog, Ayda, to be their flower girl. She had such a big personality on camera! I have never seen a dog so enthusiastic to be in a wedding before. Not to mention she kept trying to eat the flowers. We also loved their intimate sparkler session with their bridal party. There was even a second sparkler session with the entire guest list as their send off!
