This rainy fall Pine River Ranch wedding in Leavenworth between Lucy and Tyler landed me one of my favorite drone photos of all time! But more on that in a little bit. This was the third wedding within our close group of friends, and it's always exciting to capture these special moments and witness how everyone has grown and changed over the years. Allie and Jack's wedding was the first in our circle, and we still keep in touch with each other on Instagram to this day.
Lucy and Tyler are avid outdoor enthusiasts, so it was a lot of fun taking their wedding party photos in front of the impressive "Ski Land" building at Pine River Ranch. They were also enthusiastic about incorporating drones into their wedding, and Lucy came up with a fantastic idea of having all their guests bring umbrellas for a unique aerial shot. Since their wedding was in late September and rain was expected, it worked out perfectly.
After their ceremony and first kiss, the officiant instructed the guests to open their umbrellas. I flew my drone into the sky and captured an amazing aerial photo of Lucy and Tyler sharing a final dip kiss before they walked back down the aisle.
Some other memorable moments from that day include my best friend and second shooter, Melanie, skillfully sewing Lucy's dress during our portrait session, as well as Tyler's hilarious "shake face," which you can see in the wedding party photos below.
It was a long twelve-hour day, but we truly celebrated and had a blast. The dance floor was one of the liveliest and most entertaining we've ever witnessed, and the dried floral send-off provided a perfect ending to such an incredible celebration.
