Marta and Hunter's Steamer Virginia V wedding was, for lack of a better word, totally epic. It was my first time photographing a wedding on a moving boat. It was also my first time launching and landing a drone from one, too. This wedding day had a little bit of that Wes Anderson feeling, as well as this sense of traveling back in time. Having a wedding on a steamship like this one will have you feeling a little bit like you're in the 1960s. You can see for yourself in their wedding video.
Why a Steamer Virginia V wedding should be on your radar
For couples looking to host a wedding with a unique historical flair, a Steamer Virginia V wedding offers a one-of-a-kind maritime experience. The S.S. Virginia V is the last operational Puget Sound Mosquito Fleet steamer, complete with all-wood construction and a working steam engine. Marta and Hunter exchanged vows before the Seattle skyline on Lake Union. Next, they took their guests on a journey through the Ballard Locks and arrived in Elliot Bay just in time for sunset at The Great Wheel.
