Lizzie + Piotr’s Wedding Reception at Outlook Inn
Lizzie and Piotr planned their wedding reception at Outlook Inn on Orcas Island in just two months. When they visited Ross Lake and traveled to Victoria B.C. by seaplane, it was the highlights of their summer. Outside of getting engaged, of course! Both agreed that October was the most beautiful time of year in the Pacific Northwest, so they chartered a seaplane to Ross Lake and eloped intimately. Afterwards, they flew to Orcas Island for their mini moon and wedding reception at Outlook Inn.
If you haven’t had a chance to visit Eastsound, Orcas Island yet, you absolutely need to. It is among one of the most charming little gems in all of Washington State. From its charming hotels to its farm to table restaurants, it makes for the most perfect and relaxing weekend getaway. The Outlook Inn is located right in the heart of town, and its brand new addition, The Water’s Edge Suites, boasts rooms with simply stunning views of the water. Lizzie and Piotr’s room, Alder, was the epitome of luxury. Bright, spacious, and yet still so cozy.
Cocktail hour took place in the historic main building at charming New Leaf Cafe which has bright windows, lovely views, and overlooks the main road into Eastsound. Dinner followed in the Victorian Room, which is in my opinion the best private dining hall on Orcas Island for a wedding reception with up to 150 guests.
Coordinating a wedding on the islands is not easy. Trust me – I’ve been to several. But Lizzie and Piotr managed to plan in two months what some couples spend over a year putting together. So much attention to detail and design went into making this celebration possible. I had to keep reminding myself it wasn’t just a styled shoot.
